Why Learn Upholstery With Us?
As part of a fully functioning studio workshop, working on commission pieces for our many clients across the country. We employ only passionate craftsmen and women who pride themselves in delivering exceptional quality and workmanship.
With us, you will enjoy the full upholstery experience by understanding just how the business works, as well as learning the craft. You will use the exact same materials and tools that we use, and enjoy building something you can truly be proud of.
We love creativity and individuality. That’s why each piece of work our students produce is completely unique, with its own individual badge of identity. We don’t just offer standard courses where everyone creates the exact same thing. You decide what you want to design and we’ll help you achieve it.
We offer courses for those wanting to learn upholstery as a hobby, for a one off home project or right the way through to professionals who want to start their own upholstery business.
The Oxford School of Upholstery is also a recognised training centre for the Association of Master Upholsters and Soft Furnishers (AMUSF), offering their accredited craft certificate courses in upholstery skills.
This one-week intensive workshop is designed to introduce you to the techniques, tools and materials of traditional upholstery, in a fun and relaxing environment. By the end of the week, you’ll leave with a beautiful new piece of furniture you can show off to your friends and family.
